Lisa Burns was born a Navy baby and grew up in Virginia Beach. By age 12 she was a competitive AAU/USGA and Jr. Olympic gymnast. In High school she won Regionals and top State Competitions. She earned a scholarship to the University of Florida and was coached by Earnestine Weaver, a Canadian Olympic Champion gymnast. An injury brought her back to Virginia where she attended Va. Tech.
Lisa moved to NC in 1999, where she became head coach of the Apex Gymnastics team. In 2002 she and another team coach brought the level-4 team to the NC State Championship title.
In 2004 she became an IFTA Personal Trainer. She joined the INBF and NPC Bodybuilding federations earning numerous Championships and her pro-card in 2012. She is featured in Bodybuilding.com the Master bodybuilder winner of the week competition. Lisa has master certifications in TRX and ViPR, both important tools used to develop a strong core.
Lisa’s passion is inspiring and helping others attain a healthier lifestyle mentally and physically. Her philosophy is to take personal responsibility for one’s own health and well-being. Lisa is a wife and mother of 3 beautiful daughters, has a love for the beach, healthy baking, flowers and motivational writing and speaking.
