Coming from a swimming/running background, converting over to a beginner triathlete was easy. Seven years as a competitive triathlete, winning age group 25-29 North Carolina Triathlon Series (IOSTS) my first year racing. My hobbies are working out and staying fit. I like to incorporate yoga, stretching and weight lifting into my weekly routine of swimming, biking and running.
As a fitness instructor, Dan says, “I offer tough, different and unique class to Excel Body Fitness. Using my skills I’ve learned throughout my own training, I like to put the rockstar/athletic enthusiasts to the cycling test. Indoor cycling is an individual sport, where you have to push yourself to gain strength and endurance. It’s my job to help push you to your body’s limits. I like to incorporate sets and reps into my cycling class so you know where you are, when to push, and what’s coming up next. No secrets or surprises, just a heart pumping workout listening to some dance, hip hop, rock and club music to get you going.”
