Having a Nursing background, it is important to me that I help people lead active, healthy lives. I work with many different people for a variety of reasons all with the intention of helping them be able to do whatever it is they enjoy. Massage can help maintain good circulation and joint function to help prevent injuries in active people, and it can also help people recovering from injuries to recover more quickly. It helps decrease stress from everyday living and increase overall quality of life.
I have a B.S. in Nursing from Villa Maria College and worked for 15 years at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. The first couple of years I worked on a surgical floor caring for people recovering from surgery. I then worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for preterm and sick newborn infants until I moved to North Carolina in January 2001. I decided I wanted to help people in a more holistic way and attended the Body Therapy Institute, a COMTA accredited school in Siler City, NC, to become licensed in massage therapy and bodywork. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
I will help you maintain or achieve a healthy, active life.
