What is Breathwork?

Breathwork refers to any type of breathing exercise or technique. During breathwork, you intentionally change your breathing pattern.

Meet our breathwork facilitator Kelsey:

Kelsey is a Registered Nurse with a passion for healing and adventure. She worked in Western medicine for 7 years before switching to holistic health. She is a reiki master, certified breathwork facilitator, and embodiment coach. One of the most efficient and accessible healing tools she has found is breathwork. The breathwork allows the body to deeply relax and quiets the mind; creating numerous emotional, mental, and physical benefits. She will teach you how to do the breathing in session and encourage you to develop a regular practice at home. Clients who have committed to a breathwork practice have created huge shifts in their lives.

Living from the heart opens life up in expansive ways: we feel abundant, connected, purposeful, joy & meaning. We know we are supported by life. Breathwork helps us return to our heart space.  Our bodies carry innate wisdom and know how to heal themselves when we let them. Through deep presence and breathing, we will untangle from the constraints of the mind and experience deep healing. Kelsey has been a nomad for 4 years, traveling the world on service and

spiritually-driven journey. This journey has taken her all over the world giving her the opportunity to heal and learn from some of the best on the planet. She has a vibrant personality and loves movement of all kinds. She competed on Season 9 of American Ninja Warrior and can usually be found outside with her bare feet on the Earth. She believes life, and healing is meant to be fun, and she infuses humor and fun into everything she does. Her mission is to Spread Love.

“I am a yogi of 3 years and was fortunate to be invited to one of Kelsey's pranayama classes. As part of my regular practice, I had been exposed to breathwork and was definitely open and curious about exploring it with more depth. Immediately, I recognized Kelsey as a considerate practitioner. The space was set prior to arrival with calming sights and smells. She took the time to explain the theory and function of breathwork from a medical (she's a former nurse!) and yogic perspective. We then jumped into the practice. It is difficult to describe the full impact as it is predominantly a sensory experience (sort of like writing about riding a rollercoaster or seeing a waterfall) but I will say this - I felt incredibly at peace and connected to my body in a way that I had never experienced before. I was able to let go of all but the present moment, which for me means no task lists, stress, or worry. Instead, it was just rhythm and breath and feeling. I would absolutely do it again and think that anyone looking to more deeply connect with their physical, emotional, and spiritual selves should give it a try. See you in a class soon!”
